Many aspects of our grade 11 curriculum helps in the understanding of being a herpetologist. The understanding of the body systems including respiratory, circulatory and the digestive systems help create a strong base of understanding in order to better connect with the organs and systems of lizards and other creatures. Understanding biodiversity and plants prepares us for meaningful conversation about the different environments lizards and other reptiles may live and interact with different plant lives. It could even help in understanding how reptiles could aid in gene flow by pollinating plants. The genetic unit is extremely helpful it that it provides the bases of all the knowledge needed to discuss the evolutionary mechanisms and patterns that make reptiles what they are today.
